heres my latest budget rig build - to replace a celeron machine that i was using
started of with a Gigabyte sumo 5115 case
front panel of the case - i like the neat look when the front panel is closed .... it looks elegant but obviously you can swing it open to access all the optical devices you wish to install
something else that i like about the case is the front logo in dark light - this is what you see on the floor in front of the case
so this is what the internals of the case look like now - hopefully i will be doing a bit more work to make it even neater
what the HSF fan combo looks like in combination with the huge graphics card
the hardware list is as follows
Gigabyte Sumo 5115 case
Antec High Current Gamer 750 watt power supply
Asus P8Z68-V pro/Gen3 motherboard
Intel i3-2120 "Sandy Bridge" CPU
Zalman CNPS12x extreme cpu cooler
Kingston Hyper X DDR3 1600 2 x 4gigs Ram
Gigabyte Radeon HD6970 OC edition
Lite-on Blu-Ray writer
Western Digital Raptor X hard drive
Win 7 Pro 64 bit operating system
the "small" side panel mod looks like this with the lights on
what it looks like with the lights off
close up of the HSF fan combo inside through the case window and while its all lit up
plans for later upgrades when i can scrape up some cash include
1) replacing budget cpu with a "Ivy Bridge" 3770k CPU
2) install a solid state drive as an O/S drive and a large 2TB storage drive
3) making some shrouds to hide the wiring
4) redo the side panel cos i dropped some superglue on this one which accounts for some of the smudges you see on this one in some of the pics
