Hi all
First, I have read the tutorial "Using your Microserver as a Squeezebox Music Server (Ubuntu)" - that is just what I want to do. I am hitting a problem that isn't mentioned there, and Google doesn't give me any help that I can use. I have installed desktop Linux a number of times, but am not familiar with server Ubuntu.
I've made a bootable memory stick with Ubuntu server 12.04. I insert this into the Microserver with all hard drives disconnected, and try to install to the other memory stick. The install process starts running, but after selecting my keyboard I get "No common CD drive detected".
I'm now installing to memory stick on a different machine from CD, and then going to transfer the memory stick to the Microserver (I have no DVD/CD drive on the Microserver). I did this with FreeNAS and it worked OK - I'm guessing I can get away with this with Ubuntu.
Any ideas if this will work?
Thanks
Brendon
