I found a Connoisseur BD 2 turntable in between my dad's stuff a week or two ago. The problem though, is the fact that it is in pieces. And I have absolutely no experience with working turntables, never you mind ones that need effort...

Concerns at the moment (apart from HOW THE HELL DO I PUT IT BACK TOGETHER ):

- The arm is broken at the back where the counterweight fits in ("fixed" with cable tie) - It seems sturdy enough, but clearly this cannot work as a permanent solution
- It needs a belt, and I was told by a shop this weekend that I won't find one? EDIT: I see it is available: http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,26948.msg349459.html#msg349459
- The rubber suspension for the motor has perished

So. I'm wondering, since trawling the interwebs led me to understand that this could very well be a lovely table, if it is worth the effort?

p.s: I will post pics as soon as my wife returns with the camera...
