Well, I don't know where to start. But I guess the begging. I work part-time in an Antique & Collectable store.
I have been offered a pair of B&W DM 70. (Unfortunately the standard version, otherwise I would have grabbed them. The continental is eye candy)
These speakers work perfectly and very well at that.
They look a little old fashion now.

The one on the right of the first page.
If I were to get them I would do a restoration. Replace the capacitors etc. Check what-what and give the hideous grills a wood wash and possible a black stain. I think they would sound and look good.
The cabinets are solid teak. In the 70's these where the best monitors that B&W had on offer. They still sound great and far exceed what I've been working with.
They have however a low power handeling 25 Watts RMS.
I'm extremely tempted. I'll have to battle down the price a little.
If however I don't take them, they'll be up for offer to the public.
They have received very high regard in their time and some say that it is the best B&W ever made (This however is a very sweeping comment and I wish not to enter into a debate about it, but I am merely expressing what I have read) . There are fan sites for them. ;D
Pictures are of the continental version.
