Unable to find anything on this forum related to active monitors classified as studio monitors, has much to do with hi-end fidelity incorporating active symmetry DSP time phase alignment etc has it's place from Audiophiles to music production, same family.
Discovered today there are few S-Series users in SA, who & where are they?

As we are not allowed to punt a specific brand on this forum this subject context is wide & open as usual;

Monitors, what is near field/mid field & main field integration about.
Turnkey solution eg using Ice/Hypex module Class-D amplification, an industry choice (look as PSAudio+many other designs)
Proprietary driver design/manufacture (no off the shelf OEM parts) -is this a niche market & for who?
Advantage & disadvantage of using active symmetry compact design, overlooked inadequate thermal dissipation in high end designs/overheating in high ambient climates because they were designed in Europe minus 15 celcius.
Using DSP technique, what & why do this.
Equalization vs linear signal from pre amp to power amp stages (no HiFi system or speaker is linear-don't kid yourself) 'speaker voicing' is a real thing either done physically or electronically, look at the McIntosh C53 'those eight knobs on the front' are for what?
AES/EBU3 an 'industry standard' DAC out, why use this link between stages.
EQ/PEQ/DEQ/GEQ where & why must this be used with DSP implementation, what products exist to 'shape your EQ curve' in 32 band resolution.
2, 3 or 4 way active symmetry advantages (no passive loudspeaker filter circuit)

If one cannot afford Wilson Audio with matching amps & electronic crossovers there are still very affordable solutions to deliver brilliant sound stage imaging be it DIY or 'off the shelf' products.

Is final digital stages used before PA as 'electronic band crossover' good enough for 'purists' -there is much that can be discussed on this subject.
