Hi folks, my Samsung S4 gave up the ghost today and they traced it to a broken micro on/off switch. The phone gets to the Samsung logo and hangs.
We managed to get to a point to carry out a factory reset etc but it was an on-again off-again scenario until it totally crashed.
I put a multimeter (continuity) across the 3 pins for the power switch and the two switches for the volume. They are exactly the same switches.
The two volume ones show continuity on the two right side pins. The power shows nothing at any stage.
I can't buy another phone and am hoping I can cannibalise one.
I can organise a courier and the usual.
If anyone can help I'll be over the moon.
Thanks guys.
