The the Philips integrated receiver I?m looking at there was a valve stuck into one of the sockets in the Rf section. It looks suspiciously like a power pentode though, but the markings are quite erased and the plate didn?t look like any valve I know. Pics below.
It really looks like an EL84 but the plate is smooth and cylindrical, unlike the boxy, rubbed plates on EL84s. Any idea?
