Hello everyone.
I want to listen to my records and I currently have a few options. I was wondering if you guys could recommend what route I should take.
The equipment I currently have is a
- Kenwood KD-22R turntable
- TEAC AG-V4200 receiver
- Two Sansui S-U880N passive speakers
Now the amplifier and turntable would likely need to be serviced and the tweeters of the speakers are both broken.
I had a really bad quality phono preamp which doesn't seem to be working.
So my question is what should I do with regards to my setup?
Should I buy a new preamp and use that with my current setup and maybe get new speakers? If so, which one?
Or should I buy a new receiver with a phono input? If so, which one?
Or should I buy a new turntable if that one's bad? If so, which one?
Or a new preamp and active speakers?
I don't have a big budget to work with. Maybe around r2500 or so.
If you could advise on what the best option is that would be great.
