Basic Video Edit Software
« on: April 09, 2018, 07:16:19 AM »
Greetings.

Am looking for very basic & simple video edit software to edit MP4 clips on a slow Windows 7 PC.  :boring:

(something free and downloadable like Faststone Image Viewer, but for video.)

Windows movie maker?

Any video editing software is fairly demanding on computer speed and available memory

Tom suggested Nero.

My outdated Dell Optiplex (DCNE) chuggs along, though running a basic 3rd party photo app like FastStone Image Viewer it's performance is truely lightning quick.

GoPro Quick requires 64-bit physical  motherboard hardware.  :faint:

* - no need for intensive, number-crunching, complex video edit software here - simply need to edit the start and end-points of a GoPro MP4 video file.

Thank you, Chris.

Can you recommend a safe Windows Movie Maker download link? (don't want to be downloading any MalWare etc)

WMM is not free any more.   What software did Tom suggest?

If you have any Apple devices iMovie is free & (according to the teenagers in the house) rather brilliant at editing videos. Judging from the amount of videos they post I guess it must be both good & easy to use!
