USB:- volts/amps?

Had an external power supply made up for the DX10 PRO3A 5.7V, 2.1mA.

What was the USB from laptop delivering? Anybody know?

The current delivery is negotiated between the host and device. Max is 0.9A for USB3. Some hosts cut cost and just tie the main 5V to the USB plug but that's rare (and dangerous)

The Crabtree and Gewiss 15A sockets with a built in twin USB socket supply 2 amps at 5 volts
