I may be able to get my hands on an UPS device(or devices) that are labled UPS Direct Model 1000VA.
I assume that it means that it will supply up to 1,000VA, but have mailed UPS Direct to get more information(hopefully they will come back to me)
Now if these are in fact 1,000VA units, how would I calculate if two will be able to supply enough power for my setup? Do I just add the max power consumption of each unit up and make sure that it is below what the UPS can deliver? Bear in mind that my pre-amp and power amps are all switch-mode designs.
Okay let me elaborate on the real reason I would like to try these. It will not be for the uninterrupted power ability, but rather the possibility of supplying "clean" power and power spike protection.
