I am in no way skilled enough to build my own speakers but have the following idea as a D.I.F (Do it for me) :
I have an old beat up pair of Celestion Ditton 1 (Two way bookshelf speakers) that belonged to my dad. The cabs are shot, vibrate terribly. But i do remember them sounding really sweet when i was a teenager just need a little more oomph in the bass dept.
Im thinking of having them re- built as 3 way floor standers. Is there someone in Cape Town that actually does this sort of thing?
Been using google to assist, but as expected, its a little more complicated that just sticking 3 speakers in a wooden box.
