The bug has bitten. I've been just as bad as you guys who start a project and then never finish it (no names mentioned ;D ) except I've always wanted to start but never have.
With the impending arrival of my HP amp, the urge to build something bigger has well and truly bitten me. I want to start with something fairly simple and from what I've read, these chipamps are a good simple place for a DIY NOOB such as myself, to start.
Found this http://www.chipamp.com/lm3886.shtml which retails for a fairly reasonable $85 for a dual-mono config (without trafo's case and heatsink)
Would you more astute and knowledgable EE's and DIY'ers like to comment please ;D ;D
