I just upgraded my Mvix to a Mede8er (incredible upgrade, plays mkv, flac, rm, flv and some other formats that the Mvix didn't do). Problem is, that I cannot get it to work via HDMI. I've tried every setting on my AV receiver, the Mede8er and the television, but I think I'm out of my league. Obviously my television isn't HDMI, but I hope to find a workaround for this.

I live in Honeydew, make great coffee, have cold beer and a selection of fine wines. Don't one of you really clever okes want to come help me with my box of interconnect cables to figure out how to get the most out of my system? I would like to use component or S-video instead of composite, but for some reason, when I try this it wont work either.

There's a box of S-video, SCART-to-svideo (which plugs to the back of the tv), Svideo and other cables. I will blindly trust whoever's judgement here.

Anyone willing to help?
