As the title of the thread states, tonight when sitting down to watch some TV my Yamaha RX-A860 wouldn't come on.
The standby light would blink when trying to power on. From experience this is never a good sign, so consulted the manual and it indicated that the unit was in "protection" mode.
I tried resetting the circuitry by holding down 'Info' + 'Tone Control' and then hitting the power. I can hear the relay click but it then blinks at me.
I am going to assume I need to contact someone to have it looked at.
Anyone had this before? Is is serious?
Should I first contact Yamaha as the unit is only 2.5 years old?
