The degree of your panels makes is big difference in your production. Like my East and West array is on a 37 degree roof and my North is on the 30 degree. Like this morning 8:18am, the panels made 3.8kw and was still busy climbing. Are you running a Sunsynk inverter? If I remember correctly, they got output control that you can use to control a contactor so you can use that to warm you geyser. I'm running my 3.2kw element geyser of my solar but I'm controlling it with Shelly cloud setup. Basically Shelly 1 with temp hat and 3 temp probes and a contactor. It's adjusted to switch off when it get too temp and is adjusted too warm in day time. So far it works really good. I got 10kw solar array on my roof so I can run this sort of stuff with out problems.
