which will go first - the player or the played?

I've always worried that I will not be able (or rich enough)  to revive my rather nice CD player when it shuffles off this mortal coil. But maybe my CDs will fail first?

OK, maybe it will be my hearing that goes first, or my ability to enjoy enjoyment. Perhaps this means I should play them more.....hmmm...'scuse me.
