I bought this off a friend. It was this, or it's fate was Cash Converters. I love anything Sanyo, so I got it for what I consider a reasonable price for everything. Came with the original Sanyo cabinet with the glass etc. and it's in v good condition and that's what I really needed !
It works. The speakers are as expected stuffed.
The volume pot is a bit scratchy. I'm really impressed with the quality of the switchgear of a unit this old (1970's). Even the tape deck has soft touch controls. I thought this only came in the 1980's.

Few questions. How easy is it to clean the volume pot ?
The tuner pics up nothing presumably as there's no aerial. It has a "place" for the aerial - will wire work ? States 300 ohm whatever that means.
The Turntable works (spins) but it's a bit scratchy like the platter is touching something. Is this a big fix if I want to use it ?

Thank you
