My eyes have been opened to ordering stuff from Amazon.
Ordered some stuff last week June 23, paid the slow shipping option and it was delivered today July 03 with Aramex, funnily enough no import duties were charged and Amazon refunded the prepaid duties back to my card. Does that happen very often?
Not disappointed with the refund but it is a little unusual.
The only thing holding me back from buying stuff more prone to needing the warranty is how do you return stuff to Amazon for a warranty claim?
Can Amazon facilitate that, albeit at my cost? Who will pay for the shipping to get the repaired/replaced item back to me?
Returning stuff back with DHL etc will not be cheap, though small things under 1kg can be sent with their prepaid box at R550, just hope it gets fixed properly the first time.
