Dear Concertgoer

We would like to welcome you to the second season of the Endler Concert Series. This season promises wonderful international recitals by the likes of Joshua Bell, Mogan Szymanski, Natalia Lavrova and Vassily Primakov. We also have a few of our own artists performing with concerts by US Symphony Orchestra, the US Chamber Choir and another KOMPOS young composers concert, this time with a focus on orchestral compositions.

The season opens with the Kathleen Tagg & Andre Peterson duet 1 Aug at 20:00. Drawing from the rich sonic tapestries of classical music, and the nuances of South African jazz and indigenous music from southern Africa, this duo explores diverse realms of possibilities within piano music, with performances of original compositions and works by esteemed South African jazz composers, arranged specifically for the duo. Tickets available on Computicket or at the door for R80 & R125.

Lunch Hour

We have two exciting lunch hour concerts this month. The first is the Amandla Freedom Ensemble with Mandla Mlangeni as trumpeter and band leader for this jazz performance. The concert will take place 21 July at 13:10 in the Fismer hall. Entrance is Free.

The winners of the UNISA Flute and Clarinet competition have a free lunch hour concert in the Fismer hall 28 July at 13:10. This concert boasts a diverse program of works for solo and duet by Widor, Poulenc, De Sarasate, Mozart, Duvernoy, G?nin, Schubert and Hendrik Hofmeyr. The pair will end the concert with a version of Connesson's Techno Parade.
