The NAD 3020 was already mentioned - for many years this was an incredible amp and absolute bestseller - but again in times where such components could be produced and sold in almost unbelievable volumes. The sheer amount of owners often created a long lasting sales momentum - often for years. Now we live in times where we get trapped and treated as in the clothing fashion industry - and it might end baaaad. I remember the incredible echoes into massive sales coming from one extreme good review by magazines as STEREOPLAY, AUDIO or STEREO. When Joachim Pfeiffer f.e. wrote his raving review about the Chario Academy 1 or the Dali Grand Coupe I got 50-70 new dealers overnight and it been hundreds over hundreds pair which been sold over the next 2 years and longer. In actual times this remains a dream.... rega must be mentioned as well...... and not only because of their turntables. I think its in their philosophy and DNA which makes almost every rega product a bargain. Their best bargain to me still is the Brio Integrated (incl Phono MM) followed by the now discontinued Apollo CD Player (only 10 units are left in the country)...and the actual P3 to me was and is the best turntable in its priceclass. Just now I can say I m happy and able to send a few spares for a 40 year old rega P3 and its happy owner (and it runs and runs and runs). rega Brio rega Apollo rega P3 rega Aria Phonostage
