I had the good fortune of locating this old girl for 75 Euro. They actually sell for a lot more in whatever condition you find them so I was lucky.

7 Tube sockets, but only 6 tubes came with the radio. Hmm.. AND it looks like that's been so for a long, long time.
More on that later..

OK, just to bring you up to speed: It's a 2-band AM Long wave and Medium wave radio with a Tone Knob on the left, Tuning knob upper center, Volume knob lower center and Band selector on the right.
G.O. = "Grandes Ondes" (Large waves, ie. Longwave)
P.O. = "Petits Ondes" (Little Waves, ie. Mediumwave)
The Band selector is a cam operated set of contacts to select the 2 bands or a phono input. You can see it in the upper left.
The front end and Local Oscillator coils for the two radio bands are also easy to spot, big boys that they are..
You can see I had already replaced some capacitors before taking this photo. They are the rf shunt capacitors on the plates of the TWO (Only one was ever used) power tubes.
The other capacitors are paper and silver mica types. The silver Mica's are the flat boys laminated with fibre board.
Then we have the metal cans.. Ugly monsters with 3 or 4 0.1uF caps sealed into the can with TAR. I pulled the one visible on the right, mounted to the chassis, and tried to drain it and re-stuff it.
Then I got busy cleaning hot tar off of myself and everything else and said "stuff it". The can went into the can. Cos I can.
The Big black resistor in the right side of the pic (Vertical orientation) is a multi-tapped resistor. I discovered that the first segment was open circuit.
Luckily, the schematic gave the resistances of all segments and I had a ceramic replacement to put in there..

Ye olde Tube Charte was still stuck inside the cabinet, which was my first clue that I was in fact missing a tube...

AK-1 = Frequency converter Octode; Amplifies the front end, skommels the local oscillateur and then mixes them together et voila.. we have La Frequence Intermediate..!!
AF-2 is Le Variable Mu-Pentode for amplifying the I.F. and also controlling le gain.
E444S is a Diode-Triode. She detects the audio and amplifies it..
E499 is le Audio Preamplificateur!!!
E443H (2x) are the Audio Power amplifiers. Each tube has a plate dissipation of a staggering 3 Watts!!! Sacre Bleu!!
1561 is the humble rectifier tube.
