I love my Boston HD5's ;D
After a few searches on the interweb, there seems to be a common problem with these speakers.
The rubber surrounds detach themselves from the cone over time. The rubber surrounds look to be in excellent condition and have not deteriorated in anyway.
It seems the glue/adhesive used to hold the surround edges to the cones have just given up.
I have found replacement drivers on parts express but would prefer not to do this.
Can you guys please recommend a repair shop. I have only ever used the loudspeaker doctor in the past.
I am based in Gauteng.
Alternatively, price dependent of course, would somebody have or be able to recommend replacement drivers?
