Not only will you save a bit of cash by using the inbuilt amplifier, but it's all wrapped up in one hell of a superb package. The speakers themself are made from 4mm (iirc) cast Aluminium. Drivers are made by Seas. It's hard to find something that'll be able surpass these in terms of sound quality and every single related aspect.</p><p></p><p>If you feel as though you still want to spend the money you will have leftover from getting rid of your power amp(s), you can always jump for the larger 8050B, which has an 8" woofer rather than the 6.5" one.
