As I mentioned in my intro post
I have a PSB Subseries 1 subwoofer which I bought when I picked up my receiver. Now this is the first woofer I have ever owned (apart from the furry ones which I've always had) and it got me thinking.
I've always understood the .1 was the channel dedicated to the woofer
But now I'm seeing 7.2 systems which can output to 2 woofers.
So my question is:
Is two woofers better than one? or is one big woofer better than two smaller woofers?
Why two since from what I understand, low frequencies, such as those produced by woofers is practically directionless sound as far as human ears are concerned?
Looking forward to your answers.
