I also use Takealot quite frequently for Bluray movies, games, the odd book, etc. I wouldn't consider spending more than R4K on any single-item purchase with them or any other online store, but that's just me I guess. The "Daily Deals" I found to be pointless most of the time as those item market values are inflated to create the illusion of a bargain price. Many of those items are available cheaper locally from other lesser-known e-stores. As for high-end... I think any manufacturer of high-end products is selling themselves a little short by using such "bargain basement" channels. I'm all "for" paying the best price, but if I'm buying a TV, some speakers or anything else that is not disposable like the aforementioned media... then I want a more "personal" touchy-feely aah yes, me like-y, me LIKE-y to cushion my fall as I go tumbling down that slippery slope.
