The 310 is an extremely robust amp, capable of driving ?80 Watt on 2 ohm speakers. And remaining stable, even wrt temperature. 0 Ohm is a short sircuit, 2 ohm is very low. Apart from that, it is a gem of a design, very low number of components and the focus was on using solid design principles rather than fancy tricks. Search the net, there has been a few write-ups about the design and design philosphy behind this amp. I have never seen one that gave up the ghost, and being on the lower end of the budget scale, they were prone to student abuse etc. Enjoy, it really is a gem, apart from running out of steam when pressed. But Dire Straits has never sounded as good as it does on that one (at reasonable volume). Funnily enough, play Vaya con dios semi loud and see how quickly she brings the power output to its knee's
