I have started looking at this little valve amp, the Leslie Model 125.

I have replaced all the caps and resistors, except the 2 "cement" (wire wound) resistors that
stick out the top. They measure fine.

The 4-1 metal cap was way, way out on almost all readings. Replaced with separate caps below deck, but will
mount the metal can back in place for "looks" after I have done the chassis sanding and painting.

I am first trying to get the "electrics" right before I tackle the cosmetics.

My first question: I have rebuilt the bridge rectifier, and where the circuit calls for a 75R 10W resistor, I have fitted
a 100R 10 W resistor (R11). Is this ok, or what can go wrong?

I have also replaced the 10K volume pot - the original one was shorted open - even had black burn marks around it!

It plays, and sounds nice, but is extremely "soft" - there is no sound between 1 and 8 on the volume pot, and then soft sound between 8 and 10. I have read that this amp expects "higher" than normal line level input. Any thoughts?

It has a 8R 10W "load resistor" which can be "plugged in" or "unplugged". I have it plugged in. What happens if I unplug this?

All advice greatly appreciated.
