Hey guys,
I found a Hitachi Laser Disk player, perhaps not as cool as the Pioneers, but they don't come up that often so...
This one is in mint condition. It plays CD fine, but if I pop in a LD, it closes, makes a motor kinda noise for 3 sec and opens again.
The LD does not spin or slightly move at all during this noise.
BUT, if I give it a slap at the bottom the while the noise is going on, the LD starts spinning and it plays the movie fine.
So laser reads, and makes me think it might just be a small mechanical problem. Can anyone here fix it?
