Just came back today from a 3 day hike in the Kruger Park. We hiked the Lonely Bull trail. Must say it was pretty awesome sitting around a camp fire in the evening with nothing but wilderness around you. And hearing a lion roar about 2km from your tent give you quite the chills. Next morning you can see how many animals came to visit while you were sleeping. We tracked a lot of animals, but you have to be very quiet and sneaky to spot them.

Last evening an elephant nearly walked into our camp next to the river and didn't realise we were sitting there and watching it and once the elephant bull noticed us he ran tail behind the legs away, probably from embarrassment! Had a nice couple of swims too, though you have to watch out for the crocs and hippos, but very refreshing after a long walk in the sun. This morning while walking back to the main camp at the end of the trip we ran into a very grumpy buffalo! We all ducked and dived behind a tree and fortunately we could sneak off and give it a wide berth. Gave us a mighty good fright! Will post a couple of picture soon. Must say it will be difficult just to visit the Kruger just driving around by car. You can see so much more while on foot and all the subtle things like tracks, little animals etc.

Has anybody else here done some trails there they can recommend? Definitely want to go back and do a couple of other ones too.
