So, I received a lovely Schneider DCS8025 stack Hifi some time ago.
It is apparent that the plastic was a little brittle but after swopping some panels from the cosmetically good but non functioning tape deck , I had tuner , pre-amp and power amp that worked well and looked good as did the matching turn table...
...until last week when one of my sisters boys pulled on a cable sending the whole unit tumbling down. I now only have enough unbroken casing for one components to look good.
Its such a pity when one gets their hands on an unusual piece like this and it sees such a fate - I was so close to selling it and at the last minute, apologised to the buyer and decided not to part with it. I almost feel that I should've sold it as it might have ended up living a better life.
