I use JRiver on several pcs and wanted to set up a server and client- so playing from 2 systems simultaneously.
I know that all info is available on the JRiver Interact Forum, but it's a minefield for a not networking savvy person like me.
I have had partial success. The client (Intel NUC) sees the server (Lenovo PC). I can see the library and all its playlists, but am stuck for now and was hoping for a paint-by-numbers solution.
I ticked the play local files option if available and have copied folders and files to another drive, so all my playlists are playable on the client end (from that end).
It may be Windows/networking that I haven't got right, since I have never really bothered before.
Another, related bugger is that to link the zones authentication needs to be ticked and used- and that seems to make Gizmo on my phone unable to connect to the server. That grates my cheese.
