After a bit of a mix-up in settings on my sub (only used for HT), which resulted in it being used on my music, I started wondering about the effect of my floor.
It's an old house, with original oregon pine floors, with hollow space underneath.
Does that help with bass response, or does it suck bass out of the room? I have a sense it's the latter...
And if it is, what do you do about it? Does carpeting help? Or plinths for the speakers?
