[QUOTE="achim, post: 1097066, member: 14383"] Too much often leads into too little...... This starts with the number of brands many dealers promoting (often only as a brandname and logo on their website). Often (not always) this indicates here is a dealer who is only focussing on selling whatever is the flavour of the month ( well I do want to sell as well....dont get me wrong). But if a product only is known by the dealer "in the box" as something somebody ordered - this is far too little....isnt. In my believe an Importer or dealer has to build up an Identity - he/she has to represent a signature of sound - call it a "house sound". I know I have such "house sound" - simply because I kept my world small (maybe boring as Portfolio) and I try to be focussed on the results I am aiming for. In this Audio world of today there is too much and only very little is very bad. On the other side in the mass and mess of products there is little which really stands out. And what stands out is very often not explored or recognized as something unique because sometimes simply the price tag is not "shocking" enough. Its a wild and weird market. I still cannot believe that I havent sold ONE Brinkmann BALANCE in all these years - which maybe is one of the best turntables of all times. As Stefan was mentioned .... I am as well often more impressed by the potential of Mid-Fi....and a pair of Bullys with a Brinkmann or Gryphon Integrated is a very good example to make some multi-million Systems look and sound stupid...
