Hi and welcome! A long time ago, I thought I would dip my toe into home theatre. Bought the 2.2 (as rears), the 2.3 (as fronts) and the BIG centre speaker. I ran them back then off a Yamaha DSP 3090 AV amp. Two stand out points for me where, one they need space and two do not run them off an AVR no matter what the pedigree. They get sharp with that dome Midrange that takes up almost the whole cone. Thinking they need more power went out and bought a BIG Rotel power amp, MISTAKE! The Opus did like the Rotel one bit. Fine if you listen soft but stretch them at elevated levels and they will bit your ears off! Rotel was quickly replaced by a Soundcraftman amp, 250 watts of Class H and Beautiful! Really enjoyed my time with them. Great party speaker BIG sound, deep bass and go very loud. Amps I think that would go very well, Hybrid, Valve Audio Electrocompaniet Or any amp with body... I would stay away from Class D in this regard unless you go with a BIG valve Pre. These guys like power and love to be driven so be generous!... My 10 cents worth.
