Room the same but I replaced my ancient Blaupunkt amp (Imported from Germany) and Pioneer turntable with a "modern" system. Onkyo 502 amp with dvd/ cd player. I think the speakers are not up to scratch but not sure. I had no budget left after buying the above in one go and settled on speakers called CAV which is floor standing but now think I should replace them as they are OK but not great at all. The thing is, would they really make such a big difference. people don't seem to agree over here on that topic ;) Room is typical lounge in apartment block 5 X 9 meters, concrete ceiling and wall to wall carpets with thick curtaining. ::) Maybe I should stop coming here and listening to other peoples set-ups as I am becoming more and more disgruntled with mine!!! Just now I become like the rest of the members over here but one with no budget to support my dirty audiophile habits; you know, frothing over a voluptuous looking monster cable etc. ;D ;D
