Do you get "warm" sounding speakers?

Missing the "warm", room filling sound from my ancient Blaupunkt and Pioneer set up with turntable I was wondering if one can buy speakers that would "shirt" how do I put this; make the cd sound "warm" and more "open"
??? I'm not erudite  with the Audiophile terminology as you can see. I'm thinking of getting new front speakers this year but I am horrified to think that it could cost me more the R5000 for a bottom of the range pair!
Maybe I should ask around if some DIY enthusiast builds them if I give the money and if this would be a good idea?

It would be for an Onkyo SR502 amp and the manual claims 75w 8 Ohm and 105W 6 Ohm all speakers. I have no idea what this means? ???

:( How I long for old technology sometimes...
