I decided to make a damping plate (Unsure what they called) out of solid stainless steel.
Underside has a groove machined in it for a 3mm O-Ring that protrudes 1.5mm.
The grooves in the top surface are purely aesthetic.
I won't make any sonic improvement claims but it definitely removes any resonance/vibration in the top panel of my Marantz SA14 player.
If nothing else, it makes an interesting conversation piece!
