Recently purchased a Denon AVR X3600H and have connected it to a Parasound power amp using the pre-outs.
I am using a 5.1 setup and looking to drive my front towers with the Parasound. I would like to by-pass the Denon internal amplifiers which I believe this AVR can do. So I am only driving the center, surrounds and sub using the Denon.
The only setup I can see that would allow for this is using an 11.1 config which allows you to assign the front speakers to an external amplifier. When doing so however I have to disable the height and rear surround speakers to get a 5.1 setup.
Does anyone know if this is the correct setup or is there a better way to achieve the above? :help:.
