Having quite a few cars I don't drive that often, I have retrofitted just about all of them with battery cut off switches.. which do work (If you remember to switch em off) but have a BIG downside in that all info is lost , like radio presets , clocks , ECU learning, adaptive suspension learning , electronuic gearbox klearning and all sorts of other stuff like seat memories and so forth..some radios require a code to restart and it all becomes fiddly...
So I decided to invest in the best...my 2 old battery trickle chargers are making buzzy noises and have either rapid or normal ranges , neither of which "conditions" the battery - so I got this (around R1000)

In addition I bought this Jump starter/power station.... R1349 from Autozone - It's a Clarke jumpstart 1224 rebranded or vice versa...
some SERIOUS power there - like in hifi , more power never hurt...

Already used the ctek which works a charm , all batts now in tip top condition and no 50km rough driving when re engaging "learning" cycles ...
Just in case , I carry the Jumpstart in whatever vehicle I'm driving...
