Hi
I want to design and build a pair of subs for a friends house.
Initially, I had considered tapped horns, but now I reckon two of dual 15" ported cabs should do the trick.
He has Tannoy K3808 15" dual concentrics in 270 litre cabinets. These play loud! But at this level, the drivers are taking a beating when producing the low bass. The idea is to roll of the Tannoys at about 80hz (?) and let the subs take care of the rest. There is a Crown PS400 amp to drive them. A reasonable-quality 2-way analogue x-over would also be required.
It would be great if those Starsound drivers, used in the IB projects would be suitable.
Any advice appreciated.
