Today, I had the unfortunate incident of trying to play a video via WMP - which told me that the codec's were out of date and I ran a "fix" which it downloaded which took over my laptop with some malicious Trojan stuff - horrible.
the PC is running Win 10 - with Window's Defender (which this malicious software turned off).
I need to investigate Anti Virus options but am looking for something that I don't have to buy a licence each year. I want a once install and it updates automatically when updates are available.
ESET used to do this.
any suggestions of the best value for money that I can pick up from Makro, Loot or takealot ?
