It might not be patently false, but it definitely is misleading. 120w sounds better than 70w.
Anyway, I'm not knocking your choice of amp. Most manufacturers do it.
It took me a long time to find an amp, because of the confusion created by manufacturers around power figures. Statements like, "120w per channel @ 6ohm, 1 channel driven", are common. For a noob like me, it was difficult to wade through all the BS.

The marks on the back are from a glue gun. Should be fairly easy to remove. There is a cherry wood insert in the front, so they are not solid black. I will take better photos tonight if you are interested.
