    Service was Ultra disappointing !!

I bought my amp there, but it was a simple pay and collect transaction. So can't comment on their service. He did respond to a few emails though.

    Wattage demunatives

It might not be patently false, but it definitely is misleading. 120w sounds better than 70w. Anyway, I'm not knocking your choice of amp. Most manufacturers do it.

    Wattage demunatives

If it didn't matter, they wouldn't purposely mislead you.  ;)

    Wattage demunatives

It took me a long time to find an amp, because of the confusion created by manufacturers around power figures. Statements like, "120w per channel @ 6ohm, 1 channel driven", are common. For a noob like me, it was difficult to wade through all the BS.

URGENTLY Looking for surround speaker stands JOZI

This is the only pic I could find: The marks on the back are from a glue gun. Should be fairly easy to remove. There is a cherry wood insert in the front, so they are not solid black. I will take better photos tonight if you are interested. Is R1200 fair for both?

I have 2 speaker stands I don't use anymore. I paid R3000 (i think) many years ago. They are in fair condition. Let me see if I can find a pic.

Review: Polk TSX 550T and Harman Kardon STR 3770

This is the kind of thing I've never had to consider before, but will have to bear in mind from now on. It will be hard to stay away from lossy formats given the type of music I listen to. I think I will buy some tracks from beatport and download in .wav format. I'm interested to see what the...

Review: Polk TSX 550T and Harman Kardon STR 3770

Something I forgot to mention. With my previous system, I replaced the 2 passive subs with an active sony unit. It had plenty of bass, and sounded great in movies, but with music it was not that punchy bass I like. It had a tendency to roll like thunder. Especially if you were standing in...

Review: Polk TSX 550T and Harman Kardon STR 3770

I've been lurking here for the last few months, trying to absorb as much info as possible before parting with my hard earned cash. Finally settled on Polk and HK. There doesn't seem to be many reviews on the items listed, so I thought I might give it a bash. I love music, but I'm new to the...
