I have a Samsung soundbar, but very disappointed with the sound and quality. The build-in dvd player only lasted for a few months, so I replaced the soundbar with my old pre-hdmi Yamaha amplifier and two small speakers.

My Onkyo also died like this, just out of warranty. The dealer said it was lightning damage, insurance paid.. :thinking:

I went through all my emails and now realise that I had a subscription with Roon Labs during April this year. They sent me a code to use the Roon-Tidal combination, however it did not work on my one email address, so I tried the code on my other address, but I was not able to log into any Tidal...

I had a subscription at Tidal Music back in  2015 which I cancelled in December 2015. Then May this year they re-activated my account without my knowledge and without informing me. Then they charged me double every month on both my email addresses for 5 months , that is 10 US dollars x2 every...

@jvr yes it is still connected the way you suggested, just had to make some adjustments to the picture settings on the Explora.  Now I just need to split the signal from the iMac too....thank you very much

Thank you JVR, fixed my problem with the Explora picture and sound ! :clap: Will also get a optical adapter and cable for my iMac, ordered from Amazon yesterday! Thank you to all the knowledgeable ppl on this forum  :)

Thanks for your feedback. I connected the Explora with the AVR via the optic cable and HDMI directly to the TV. Sound is OK but the picture not as good as it used to be, maybe because no up scaling is taking place? The other problem is that when I switch from the TV to the Mac to listen to...

I have a Sony AV amp STR-DH820 connected via 2 HDMI cables to a LG LED TV and Mac computer. Is it possible to watch video while listening to music from the Mac on this setup? In the old days before the advent of HDMI, the simple solution was to run video sources directly to the TV and keep audio...
