In my situation everything sounds better having used the YAPO setup & my manually configured EQ settings (based directly off the auto values). I believe you can order a replacement mic from the agents. I read on this very forum the cost was approximately R250.

I don't have much perspective as all my AV receivers have been Yamaha & this is my first with a YPAO mic. The "pure mode" does not sound better but I am listening to compressed sources & not say a record.
I'd also like to recommend Linux Mint & LibreOffice. I had a nice MSI gaming machine that I paid R29,000 for. The screen broke due to factory over tightened hinges. I'm now using a Core 2 Duo with 3Gb Ram & a SSD. It kicks arse for something so dated.
