So a project initiated by one of John?s frinds finaly finished, a lazy old man and a holiday trip made this take it?s time but feels like it got to the intended final result.
First step to get it right, replace the Hadcock arm with the ADC LMF-1.
Replacing the mounting board with a correctly drilled one for this arm made adjusting the cartridge mounting with a 2-point template simpler, then suddenly this was a very nice TT for almost no money.
And this cartridge, if You find one, buy it if in perfect/new condition, this plays music with an ease and authority like some very expensive MC cartridges, also shares the drawbacks of non user replaceable stylus, also rather low output level but not so that it should present a problem with any amp/preamp, You just need to turn the volume knob a bit further, and a bit of physical activity is always good for You.
I could happily live with this as my record playback equipment.
