Thought we would put up a better fight, 4 was bad, broke confidence that has been building up since after the first 3 games.

Just got to 0 goal difference, now back to -4

As to United and Ole, who do you blame really? He had a very good away unbeaten run. Who does the credit go to for that achievement ?

the problem with Ole is that even players like Bruno Fernandes are complaining that they are lacking tactical instruction - and IMHO Oles backroom staff are still very inexperienced and relative newcomers at managing football teams (guys like Michael Carrick and Kieran Mckenna etc)

then United have lots of attacking players who really cannot manage on a high press because these guys refuse to do defensive work but only want to work on attacking and stay upfront - so when you have more than one player like this (and United have way more than one ie Christiano Ronaldo, Marcus Rashford, Mason Greenwood, Anthony Martial, Bruno Fernandes, and in Midfield Paul Pogba, Donny Van De Beek (which is another reason why he rarely gets to play) then all these guys are actually luxury players and the team is carrying them - and the defence which is not comprised of the best defensive players in the world is always under pressure so if they are trying to create a high block (which none of these players know how to play or don't have the work ethic for) they are usually caught flat footed when other teams catch them on a counter

not to mention that while McTominay can run around a bit but Fred is an utter idiot and gives the ball away too much in critical areas (and so does that moron Pogba) but Ole insists on a double Pivot and starts the McFred combo in almost every game (you can't blame the players here - it is Ole who is selecting the team) and if he selects idiots then it is him who is responsible for the results that the team achieves and no one else

then lets not even get started on his formation - he doesn't have the players for a 5 at the back system - United do not have proper wing backs - Aaron Wan Bissaka is one of the best one-on-one defenders in the world but useless at bombing forward - while Luke Shaw is not always fit enough to keep bombing forward - so he is a good full back but not much use as a wing back ..... then Ole buys a right winger but plays him on the left while he already has a bunch of left based players at his disposal (Rashford, martial and Pogba) so why buy a right sided player to deputise on the left and keep Greenwood at the right just because he was successful there for the first few months - and now Jadon Sancho who was purchased for very close to a club record fee and who was chased for a long time is rarely getting a game (because his confidence is shot due to being played out of position whenever he was played) and guys like Donny Van De Beek rarely get to play ie he was one of the best up and coming talents at Ajax but at United he is a never used substitute so why did Ole spend so much to buy him and Sancho

then lets talk about Harry Maguire - the guy is just playing too much even rushed back from injury when not fit so now he is burned out and totally unreliable at the back - and its not his fault - Ole is the one selecting him when we have players who could deputise but he doesn't trust them and keeping on playing unfit players saps the confidence not only from the unfit players because they land up chasing ghosts in game but also the alternative squad players who cannot step up when required - again not Maguire or Bailly or Lindelofs fault - its Ole who has to chose the side thats on the pitch (Bailly and Lindelof are not the worst players in the world if used properly because they do well with their national sides but they just play like toilet for United because that is how Ole instructs them)

Lets actually face facts ..... Ole and his backroom staff are not good enough to manage the current playing staff because those ego's constanly need stroking ie United cannot afford to have 4 or 5 luxury players being passengers on the pitch - and they don't need players being constantly burned out by being played too often ..... Alex Ferguson was a master at rotating the players at his disposal to get the best out of everyone which is why he won so much - Ole is clueless at this, which is why he start with the same 11 week in and week out and ignore every mistake they made or who is totally not prepared to play due to burnout

the key words in the above paragraph are "Ole is clueless" really because he cannot manage a side of the magnitude of United especially now with superstars with huge egos like Christiano Ronaldo and Raphael Varane who are huge names in world football and now guys with developing ego's like Rashford and Greenwood and also Fernandes

last season Ole was desperately lucky that Fernandes single handedly pulled him to an undeserved second place with the force of his personality - but now that is being repressed because Christiano Ronaldo cannot play in a team where he is not the main man and it is no surprise to see that as Ronaldo becomes more important Fernandes wilts more with each game and is doing absolutely nothing this season - so games that United are supposed to easily win on paper they are just losing while games that they should lose they are being battered - and really we cannot blame Ed Woodward or John Murtough for buying the players they do because they surely discussed with Ole as to who they need and what positions are required to plug gaps and address weaknesses - so if Ole tells them .... I don't need Sancho or Van De Beek then they don't waste millions on buying those guys to pay the huge wages to shine the polished leather on the heated substitute seats at Old Trafford .... and it was Oles job to tell them hey I have Cavani this year - do not buy Christiano Ronaldo because he imbalances the side ie he wants everything to be about him and is not a team player but only a "me" player ..... which doesn't work with 10 other guys on the pitch that are supposed to be on his side (Ronaldo is not young enough to make that tactic work as he was at Real Madrid in his peak) - so Ole is responsible for the players he has at his disposal ie he shaped the purchases they made while he was there - and its all backfiring in his face because of his relative inexperience at management

so now you cannot do anything except fire Ole ..... because really this season is already another one wasted in terms of United getting back up there to become the contender that their stature and financial might dictate that they should be - they are just turning into a laughing stock now and while Ole is a really good lad and club legend as a player (who is going to forget that last minute goal in 99 to win us the treble) but he just isn't good enough to be the manager

moral of the story is that he has to go BUT the problem is that United has let every potential great manager for them slip out of their fingers by persisting with Mourinho when they shouldn't have and getting Van Gaal when they shouldn't have (and also the David Moyes fiasco) and right now they compounded it when available top managers that could have worked well at United have gone to other rival teams so now they have nothing really to chose from if they intend to replace Ole .... thats on Woodward and his whole "we don't have to rely on what happens on the pitch to be successful" bullshit - and Woodward and the Greedy Glazers are fully to blame for the state that they allowed the club to fall down to - and while Woodward is stepping down we just receive word that he is actually only stepping down from the role he played so far but is staying at the club in another capacity (more deceptive bullshit designed to fill the Glazers pockets with gold dust while pounding back United down into the dust)

now i'm a fan of #Ole-out, #Woodward-out and #Glazers-F#ck off

END RANT

the United board has decided to sack Ole subject to Joel Glazer finalisation but it seems like he is beng renamed Ole "Goner" Solksjaer - they are negotiating a severance package as i'm typing this - and most likely Darren Fletcher will be in charge of the team as interim manager till they decide who replaces Ole .... they are offering Zinedine Zidane the job with more money than they offered him previously ..... who knows if he will accept  :nfi: BUT IMHO out of the frying pan into the fire because no-one really knows how Zidane really is as a manager - he has only managed a Galactico real Madrid side that should have won what they did with their eyes closed and their shoelaces tied together  :nfi:

Looking forward to see who the interim coach is going to be, unless they can persuade a long term option that would be willing to jump ship mid season. There are 26 games remaining of this season with CL qualification on the line, not for the faint of heart.
