Hi Guys,

I found this interesting take on MQA from Linn

https://www.linn.co.uk/blog/mqa-is-bad-for-music-heres-why

and I quote from the author:

MQA is an attempt to not simply sell the same content again at a higher margin, or to maintain audio quality in streaming ecosystems: it is an outright land grab. It?s an attempt to control and extract revenue from every part of the supply chain, and not just over content that they hold the rights for. It really is quite extraordinary.

Spotify will introduce cd quality hopefully soon.

Historically we have been satisfied with cd's and high end cd players. If spotify goes to cd quality, this would mean that a good quality dac would satisfy the majority of the population.

Dont get me wrong, I enjoy MQA, but there are some salient points to consider in the article itself.

What do you guys think about MQA and the direction it is taking ?
