I read the article a little while ago, and there is a lot of sense in what he is putting forward as reasons/explanations.

I know that I far prefer listening to LP's than streaming or from HDD.

My daughter, who is the only family member with a streaming subscription, and listens to it via earbuds or headphones for most of the day, also prefers listening to LP's. At first I thought it was simply the novelty value of her buying some of her own LP's, but a lot of time has passed and she still prefers LP's to streaming from a listening experience perspective. From a plethora of choice angle the streaming wins hands down.

Or maybe I'm just a grumpy old codger & the article suits my own confirmation bias!  :sd:

I bought a new vinyl copy of Depeche Mode's Violator a while back only to find it sounds like a cd. Seems it was cut from a digital remaster  :cr@p:
